As a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2014, I've had the privilege of not only caring for my patients' oral health but also fostering meaningful connections with them. My approach goes beyond traditional dental care—I strive to create a comfortable environment where patients feel empowered to ask questions and gain insights into their oral health needs and care. Witnessing their journey toward better oral hygiene habits and celebrating their progress is immensely fulfilling to me."Treat every patient like your grandmother" - this is the mission I adopted upon graduating from dental hygiene school. My grandmother, now 88, was my last patient during my program. I strive to provide every patient with the same level of care, options, treatments, education, and knowledge that I would want for her. Ensuring that each individual receives the best possible care is my commitment to my patients.My commitment to patient well-being extends beyond the dental chair. Having experienced the profound impact of mental health firsthand, having lost my father to suicide in 2004, I'm a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and support. I believe in the importance of comprehensive care, addressing both physical and mental aspects of wellness.I firmly believe in bridging the gap between medical and dental care. Viewing the body as a whole entity, I advocate for comprehensive health practices. Just as we don't remove our teeth from our mouths to clean them daily, we must recognize that the mouth is merely the gateway to overall health. As dental hygienists, we serve as the first line of defense for various conditions, including cardiac health, Alzheimer's prevention, uncontrolled diabetes, airway issues, and more.Throughout my career, I've gained valuable experience in both Dental Service Organization (DSO) and private practice settings. This diverse background has equipped me with a versatile skill set and a deep understanding of patient care in various contexts.I'm constantly seeking to enhance my knowledge and skills to better serve my patients. Staying updated on the latest products and methods allows me to tailor treatment plans to meet each patient's unique needs effectively.
