As a senior project manager I helped teams deliver high impact projects that enabled Researchers to work more effectively.

- Transparency and honesty guide my actions as a Product Owner. Consequently, I have successfully forged a strong bond with my Agile team during a time of deep organisational change. - I've collaborated with senior management and SMEs to articulate a mission statement and appropriate KPIs for the Product Lifecycle Management Program.- I’m also the agile product owner for the Product Data Mastering (PDM) sub-program. I defined the PDM scope and vision for FY 20. I manage the backlog for all current PDM components and maintain our agile roadmap based on this vision.- I have used and abused my role as Product Owner to reach out to other teams working with product data to ensure our roadmaps and workflows are aligned—and to lay a solid foundation for future data governance.- Currently, I’m focussed on completing a gap analysis for two old components with an aim to decommission these in FY 21. This will keep our platform resilient to business needs.- I also manage and mentor a Business Analyst.- I’m always thinking ahead in my role. What are the risks? Where are the constraints? What will deliver the most value and when does that need to land to achieve this?- I am a master at anticipating the needs of senior management and getting them the analysis and input they require to make a pitch for resources or to adjust their strategy.

- I gathered and elaborated requirements to deliver a feature to auto-populate task completion dates in a production management system. The elimination of manual entry delivered significant savings to the business.- I elicited requirements and wrote user stories to deliver a new UI for production editors to manage their work.- I crafted documentation of complex publishing workflows held in an IBM BPM system to guide future solutions and facilitate an eventual workflow redesign.

- I took the lead as the acting Senior Transition Manager after only 7 months in the role.- During OUP’s first year on a new publishing platform, I managed complex, cross-functional projects to successfully integrate 7 existing journals into OUP’s list and managed projects to launch 7 new journals, worth over £10 million in revenue.- I recruited, trained and mentored a new Transition Manager in the Cary, North Carolina office.- I advocated for changes to reduce current and future risks. This includes changes in process, reporting templates and the need to monitor project complexity. - As acting Senior, I proactively managed risks to all new titles, monitored team workload, and kept stakeholders appraised of journal project statuses.- Prior to leaving OUP, I led a Lessons Learned session to log challenges and successes from the first year on the new publishing platform. This served as a resource and guide for the 2018-19 website launches.- I also managed all aspects of the acquisition process at bid stage, including schedules, risks and financial sign off by senior management/directors/CEO, as required.
