I’m a recovering scientist turned life coach who speaks fluent burrito, a compassion-cultivating, day-making, change agent, a ferocious never-giver-upper, an empathy-collecting, anti-quitting word wizard, and a connoisseur and collector of fine silver linings. I founded Long Distance Love Bombs, and my mission is to make kindness cool, empathy popular, and compassion commonplace. I worked internationally for governments and universities for over a decade and spent five years studying how our brains influence our actions. I wrote a Ph.D. thesis about behavior change that explored psychology, communication, motivation, attitudes, and social pressures. I’ve managed teams of people and millions of dollars. In addition to my academic background, I have an honorary doctorate from the School of Hard Knocks. I’ve met rock bottom, planted a seed, grown a haunted house into a home, and climbed out of the hole my mind made. As part of that purpose, I write articles, give TEDx talks, send great emails, host retreats and workshops all over the world, coach incredible clients, have a podcast with over half a million downloads, write books you can tear apart, and film beautifully impactful spoken word poetry videos. I am also active on Facebook and Instagram, leading an online posse of more than 65,000 badass humans.
