Managing the IT on the large site of this boarding prep school, I was hired by word-of-mouth in order to sanitise the existing systems, which had previously suffered a disaster, put in systems to prevent a re-occurrence, and make the school technically competitive. I have since implemented several large projects including an all-point overhaul of their existing systems, infrastructure and processes, focusing heavily on disaster recovery and business continuity, including continuity in the instance of a complete site failure for pupils, parents, staff and admin.We successfully passed through an ISI inspection gaining an "Excellent" rating in every possible category.

Having secured an April start date at my next employer, I took some temporary agency work for IT support in schools and ended up being asked to work at one school full-time for almost the entire length of time.

Woodford Green

Within this inner-city prep school, I was able to rebuild and restore confidence in the systems after a failed system install, and successfully handled several potential disaster scenarios. Towards the end of my employment, an independent audit of my work (audit summary available on request) found little to correct but I was already in negotiations to move elsewhere.

Havering

As my longest-term consultancy clients (over 6 years), I was taken on in a permanent full-time position created especially for me by the school.

Witham, Essex

A large secondary school with attached Sixth Form, within an IT team of four. I was offered a more senior position just before leaving but returned to work for one of my long-term clients who had stayed in contact.The school was then absorbed into an Academy group.

Havering Borough, Essex And Surrounding Areas

I offered IT support to multiple schools simultaneously across Havering Borough and in Essex. I undertook the role of IT / Network Manager or IT Consultant for them for many years.
