    My time as sports coordinator allowed me to work multiple projects for Parks & Recreation.Ultra Play, an after school program provided youth in disadvantaged communities the opportunity to play games, and learn the fundamentals of sport in a safe, and friendly environment. Language barriers, personality conflicts and attention disorders made this position at times extremely challenging. However, learning how to adapt to these issues and incorporate the involvement of all participants made it extremely gratifying and fun. My Involvement in Ultra Play increased my conflict resolution skills, ability to problem solve, ability to relate and become familiar with different cultures, and program experience. I coordinated all programming for the 8 week duration of the program.To create a sense of community amongst the Ultra Play youth, I assisted in the coordination of a City wide soccer tournament. This was a full day of soccer, teaching youth to importance of fair play, proper nutrition, and fostering new friendships.At Girl's n' Women and Sports I assisted with the women's winter sports leagues. This position required travel to multiple locations throughout Ottawa, ensuring that staff at these sites had all the equipment they need to maintain quality sports leagues for our participants. During my employment at Girls 'n Women and Sports I organizing a Women's Only Volleyball Tournament. My responsibilities included: preparing permits, organizing prizes, creating tournament schedule, briefing staff, and overseeing the day. I had the pleasure of managing these programs for the 2014 summer season. The 'I Love to Play Soccer' and 'I Love to Mentor' programs ran simultaneously from May to September. I Love to Play Soccer was celebrated with an end of the year festival, this full day soccer tournament consisted of all 600 participants coming together for a recreational soccer tournament. while the I Love to Mentor graduates will be honoured with a graduation ceremony in December 2014.
