  • Reverb Networks
    Vice President Of Software Development
    Reverb Networks Jul 2013 - Oct 2015
I was responsible for managing the R&D team of software and QA engineers in the development of Reverb Network’s SON (Self-Organizing Network) solution.Reverb Networks Inc. was a small start-up company and a leading pioneer in the SON domain. The product, InteliSON, was a fully autonomous, closed-loop solution that integrated into the wireless operator’s wireless network to collect data, monitor, analyze root causes and take corrective actions. My responsibilities included: • Managing the software development process ◦ Acquired requirements from client, Technology office and Product Management. ◦ Worked with the software team to breakdown features and design components. ◦ Practiced the Agile development process with Scrum. Acted as a Scrum Master • Managing resources ◦ Directed and coordinated efforts of a small but super-efficient group of engineers. ◦ Coordinated efforts between groups to promote a streamlined workflow. ◦ Performed administrative tasks on personnel matters, recruited candidates. • Managing outsourced development and IT process to external contractors ◦ Defined requirements and statement of works, negotiated contracts, coordinated development efforts, and monitored acceptance tests of deliverables • Developing codes, prototypes and special projects. ◦ Wrote codes for modules, prototypes to seed new internal software modules ◦ Served as a consultant to external clients to deliver customized solutions. ◦ Worked closely with clients to acquire requirements and to verify functionality at trials.
  • Ascom Network Testing
    Senior Software Engineer
    Ascom Network Testing 2009 - 2013
From 1990 to 2013, I worked for the same organization that became part of different companies (LCC, Ericsson, ASCOM) through acquisitions. I worked in various roles – software developer, project manager, and operational product manager.I was a principle developer for the TEMS Visualization product, responsible for data analyses and algorithms.TEMS Visualization (TEMS Discovery/Network) is a software product that analyzes, organizes and visualizes 2G, 3G and 4G wireless network OSS performance data to isolate network problems and provide insights into their root causes. My responsibilities included the architecture, design and coding of the product. I worked very closely with Product Management to determine, clarify, and adjust scope of works, and to ensure that the end results are within expectation. Some examples of my work: ◦ Geo-Location: I developed an algorithm that determines the locations of the UEs relying strictly on GSM and WCDMA network OSS data without the aid of GPS data. This allows users to geo-locate problematic events, network hot spots, or to follow calls geographically. It also enables a statistical view of geographical problem area. The accuracy of the prediction is in line with other leading products. I was co-awarded a patent for the geo-location method (US 8918304). ◦ Multi-Dimensional KPIs system: Aggregation of statistics for accessibility, retainability, mobility, and packet-switched data KPIs. This allows a high-level view of a network’s performance and also drilling down to detailed analyses. This feature helps the users to quickly identify and troubleshoot poorly performing network nodes, clusters, phone models, and individual subscribers.I was trained and certified as a SCRUM Master.
