Senior Software Engineer
Ascom Network Testing
From 1990 to 2013, I worked for the same organization that became part of different companies (LCC, Ericsson, ASCOM) through acquisitions. I worked in various roles – software developer, project manager, and operational product manager.I was a principle developer for the TEMS Visualization product, responsible for data analyses and algorithms.TEMS Visualization (TEMS Discovery/Network) is a software product that analyzes, organizes and visualizes 2G, 3G and 4G wireless network OSS performance data to isolate network problems and provide insights into their root causes. My responsibilities included the architecture, design and coding of the product. I worked very closely with Product Management to determine, clarify, and adjust scope of works, and to ensure that the end results are within expectation. Some examples of my work: ◦ Geo-Location: I developed an algorithm that determines the locations of the UEs relying strictly on GSM and WCDMA network OSS data without the aid of GPS data. This allows users to geo-locate problematic events, network hot spots, or to follow calls geographically. It also enables a statistical view of geographical problem area. The accuracy of the prediction is in line with other leading products. I was co-awarded a patent for the geo-location method (US 8918304). ◦ Multi-Dimensional KPIs system: Aggregation of statistics for accessibility, retainability, mobility, and packet-switched data KPIs. This allows a high-level view of a network’s performance and also drilling down to detailed analyses. This feature helps the users to quickly identify and troubleshoot poorly performing network nodes, clusters, phone models, and individual subscribers.I was trained and certified as a SCRUM Master.
