● Learned a variety of techniques focused on the analysis of Dictyostelium discoideum, a eukaryotic amoeba recognized as an NIH model organism which is studied in gene expression, cell motility, and chemotaxis, development and differentiation.●Participated in an effort to troubleshoot protocols making this model system accessible and tractable.Conducted experiments to qualitatively and quantitatively examine various aspects of Dictyostelium biology, using fluorescence microscopy utilizing softwares such as Fiji and Image TrackJ to analyze data.● Practiced advanced cell biology experimental techniques and manipulations.
