About Lea Sims

Marketing, messaging, and thought leadership strategist with 30+ years' experience as a communicator, writer, and content developer helping nonprofit healthcare associations and enterprise organizations tell their stories--synthesizing industry voice with organizational narrative, enabling product and service organizations to make meaningful connections to industry stakeholders, and forging strategic partnerships with influencer groups in key market spaces. Supporting CGFNS International as an industry subject matter expert, thought leader, and marketing strategist is my primary focus--everything from brand strategy to market narrative to high-impact content development. They say that "content is king." The new imperative for brand marketing is to build an authentic, consistent cadence of compelling content--narratives that resonate within the real space of business decision-makers and stakeholders. But hitting that sweet spot of influence is not as easy as it sounds. This kind of content is attentive, responsive, and utterly human. It is without pretense or artifice. And it seeks to understand as much as to be understood. It's the kind of content the builds trust, bridges, and shared journeys. This is the kind of content I read, write and teach others to create. What gets me excited about my work? Applying my love of and facility with words to the canvas of organizational communication. I have written and published everything from books, technical manuals, blogs, and articles to policy documents, white papers, and marketing collateral. But that writing flows from a core innate strength--strategic thinking. Content marketing is a chess board, where the right strategy, not just good content, is the true differentiator. Connecting to the "real space" my customer is in at any moment is about seeing the big picture and anticipating where my customer has been and is moving. Any good marketing strategy should move in parallel to that customer journey, and good content should speak to that evolving narrative.
