Based in Delray Beach, Florida, Levenger Company is a luxury retailer of leather goods, writing instruments, and stationery.I was recruited to define and direct the strategic merchandising vision and operational success for the company, accelerating P&L performance by providing corporate leadership in strategic planning, assortment planning and development, global sourcing and procurement, the Open-To-Buy process, and inventory lifecycle management across the catalog, e-commerce, Amazon, corporate accounts, and brick-and-mortar channels. In addition, I oversee the full scope of retail operations for 2 boutiques in Virginia and Illinois. My team is comprised of a merchandising staff of five employees and the retail staff. Notable achievements:►Rapidly realigning the merchandising function by analyzing the business, building the merchant team, defining the long-term vision, rationalizing the inventory, and instituting a formal Open-To-Buy.►Strengthening the company’s retail operations. This was achieved by increasing collaboration between merchants and cross-functional department leaders, renegotiating store leases, and instituting best practices for point-of-sale inventory management.

In 2012 I founded The Farms Market Place, a real estate management and investment firm and the owner-operator of a mixed-use commercial property in the Jupiter Farms community.In this capacity I managed the business strategy, operations, and the P&L performance of the company, with responsibility for day-to-day operations, corporate planning, contract negotiation, tenant relations, and marketing. In addition, I served as a licensed property broker. Notable achievements:►Generating strong return on investment (ROI) on the property. I scouted the opportunity, lined up a minority investor, negotiated the purchase, renovated the building, and achieved 100% occupancy on what had been a previously vacant property with leases for a restaurant, offices, and retail.►Conceptualizing marketing strategies that increased both occupancy and foot traffic. Boston Proper is an online and catalog women’s fashion retailer.Shortly after Mark, Fore & Strike acquired the Boston Proper apparel brand, I transitioned over to serve as the Boston Proper division’s only buyer. I was then promoted through successive leadership roles, ultimately serving as a member of the executive leadership team driving the corporate strategy, merchandise vision, and brand performance. I built and led an organization of 19 merchants that were responsible for scouting trends, creating analytics, developing and procuring assortments, negotiating buys, sourcing global vendors, collaborating on product development, managing merchandising operations, Open-To-Buy, and building master calendars.
