About Lea Ono
I am a Senior Research Associate in cell biology and biotechnology with over 7 years of experience working with primary hematopoietic cell systems to perform an array of assays needed for preclinical drug development. Currently, I’m working with iPSC systems. My work has included assay design for preclinical drug development screenings with multicolor flow cytometry read outs. My work has allowed me to build upon my skills across a variety cell based assays including mast cell activation assays, HbF induction, CD34+ HSC differentiation, ADCC and CDC assays for the company to become the preferred provider of these assays within the client organizations I work with. I earned a BSc in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Washington. During my time at UW, I interned with the Sherman Lab at the Center for Infectious Disease Research, assisting research on novel M. tuberculosis drug discovery by conducting molecule screenings on analogous human cell line models.
