Co-designed two tablet interface control systems intended for U.S. military pilots to fly unmanned aerial vehicles during surveillance and re-supply missions. Assessed interface usability using task analyses, cognitive walkthroughs, and human error identification studies. Collected quantitative and qualitative data during human-in-the-loop testing on expert subjects using self-perception surveys, visual, and auditory recording equipment.

Created an in-house database of anthropometric dimensions relevant to the design of individual spacesuit components including hatch aperture, hard-upper torso, and shoulder, wrist and elbow joints using 5th to 95th percentiles of target consumer population. Researched the theoretical basis behind an optimized Liquid Cooling Garment design and assisted in the experimental corroboration of the new prototype that improved heat sinking capabilities by 30%.Identified technological gaps in measuring metabolic rate and proposed methods of calculating energy expenditure through commercial off-the-shelf products as a means of characterizing spacesuit mobility.
