Focus on complex and post-surgical diagnoses such as full shoulder replacement, labral repair, CRPS, brachial plexus injury, tendon transfer, nerve transposition, flexor/extensor reconstruction, skin graft, and post-compartment syndrome fasciotomy. Employ a full spectrum of extensor/flexor protocols per M.D. mandate, including Duran, Kleinert, SAM, ICAM, etc. Fabricate a wide variety of splints (static, static-progressive & dynamic). Actively engage in interactive dialogue with attending orthopedic doctor/surgeon to ensure optimal patient care.

Primary hand therapist responsible for all aspects of patient care, including evaluation, treatment plan development, wound care, soft tissue/joint mobilization, modalities, custom splint fabrication (static & dynamic), and home exercise plan development. Treat post-surgical trauma, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder dislocations, humeral fractures, elbow fractures, wrist fractures, finger fractures, finger deformities, phalanx fractures, tendon laceration injuries, amputations, muscle sprains, impingement syndromes, nerve injuries, tendonitis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis et al. Fieldwork supervisor for students of various graduate programs. Manage and direct hand therapists, OT aides, and full patient care operation. Collaborate with in-house physical therapy team to coordinate patient care.

Primary hand therapist. Collaborated with six upper-extremity hand surgeons regarding pre- and post-surgical treatment, post-surgical bandaging, stitch removal and splint fabrication (wrist cock up, ulnar and radial gutter, basal joint arthritis, posterior elbow, long and short thumb spica). Prescribed patient home-exercise program and demonstrated scar-massage techniques.

Responsible for full case load (60 patients per week).
