IT Security Specialist Supporting Department of Homeland Security

DIRAK, Inc., is a manufacturer of hardware components for sheet metal enclosures (ie: telco cabinets and server cabinets).I worked as both the sole IT support for the company and as a product manager for the E-Line product. As the E-Line product manager I was responsible for all phases of the E-Line contact with the customer, from initial contact through installation and on call customer support.The E-Line product line, is a series of electronic handles that can be used in conjunction with a proprietary software to secure server cabinets. When used with the DIRAK software, the user can track all physical access to the servers in those cabinets and meet the requirements for Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA reporting compliance.

As a Laptop/Desktop support specialist, I worked to solve trouble tickets arising from users at a client site. This included: Creating/maintaining/updating images of the laptops and desktops and PDA's used by the client. Created and administered training for the laptops, desktops and PDA's for the clients.Creating and Maintaing the SafeBoot database and tokens used on the laptops and PDA's to prevent unauthorized access to company information.Tested and evaluated electronic devices for the users to ensure that they met the customers requirements and then created and administered training for the users on new devices.
