This environment requires leaders to permanently live outside their comfort zones.My background as a Surveillance/Reconnaissance Officer in the US Army has enabled me to approach risk and opportunity from a unique perspective. Never knowing when or where the next incident will occur requires leaders to be adept at flexible thinking, opportunity identification, and risk assessment. Facing unknown risks daily, I led a team of 29 Scouts on various missions during a year-long deployment to Iraq, earning a Bronze Star Medal. These experiences have informed my capacity to design solutions and products that are highly effective in commercial environments.
