I was brought in to lead an existing team of engineers and oversee automation framework development for the new Digital Health Gateway product hosted in Azure. Guided UI and API framework and test case creation spanning onshore and offshore development teams. I’m also in charge of hiring, onboarding and mentoring technical testing talent. Hold daily meetings to gather status from onshore and offshore engineers, review code, assist in trouble shooting, set expectations and drive improvement initiatives. I drove many quality and testing initiatives to ensure consistency in testing approach across the delivery teams.I managed a second team of 7 Performance Engineers who use the NeoLoad tool to detect performance degradation in the product as soon as new features are added. Setting objectives, conducting 1:1’s, reviews and ensuring there is adequate performance testing coverage across the application were on-going duties of this role.

I was a lead front end developer that created an internal web dashboard that would monitor real time infrastructure metrics for many types of resources. This observability reduced MTTR and the built in actionable alerts prevented failovers saving the company a considerable amount of money. Apart from building JSP pages with Adobe Flash, I was responsible for our build process which included gathering code from our ClearCase branches, compilation and deployment. I was also migrated the package and table changes across three database instances in order to keep our releases structured and organized.

This role involved automating many of the regression tests for a java client. The product was a management console application that allowed users to manage servers, metadata and job scheduling across a distributed server environment. I used Rational Robot and specific SAS proprietary tools to create test scripts.
