Abe is the former owner of The White Hart Cafe, Blackwater Coffee Company, and City Place Food & Company. He is also a former instructor in the School of Business at Liberty University. Abe is a recipient of "Lynchburg's Top 20 under 40" award, and a graduate of the prestigious LEAD Virginia program. Abe has served on the Alumni Board of Advisors at Albion College (Albion, MI), the Small Business Committee at the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance (co-chair), the Advisory Council at the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra, and has been a member of the Board of Directors for a number of local nonprofit organizations including CASA of Central Virginia (President), Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce (Executive Committee), and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (annual dinner chairman). Abe currently serves as a member of the board of directors at Horizon Behavioral Health, Lynchburg Morning Rotary Club (President Elect), Sitting Well at the Well, Peakland Pool, and Freedom 4/24. Abe is also a proud member of the Board of Trustees at Passion Community Church.

Those other locations were Blackwater Coffee, City Place Foods, and a Blackwater Coffee Trailer. As the businesses flourished and offers to purchase them become more common, I chose to make the sale of my businesses part of my long-term financial plan. Selling all of them in 2018, I now focus on helping other business owners grow and create strategic plans.
