My work in sport has seen me coach managers and players from International level (England Football), Premier League, EFL Championship to World level Boxing and Team GB Paralympian’s.I am always learning and seeking improvement in my knowledge and personal growth. In 2017 I spent 3 days in San Diego at a Navy SEAL’s Leadership Academy, learning the methods used by the mentally and physically toughest group of people on the planet. His first role in professional sport was with the Stockport County Youth Team consulting to both the coaches and players to drive a high performance culture. He also started sharing his methods within the financial, legal, insurance, retail and pharmaceutical sectors.In sport Martin has worked within motorsport, football, athletics, boxing, and martial arts. This work has involved designing high performance mindset programmes and psychometric profiling for individuals and teams, consulting to managers and coaches and helping to shape high performance environments.Martin was the performance coach to Paralympian Carly Tait, who inspired by London 2012 decided to take up wheelchair racing having never played the sport. Four years later she had won two Silver Medals at the European Championships and reached the final of the 2016 Paralympics and 2017 World Championships, narrowly missing out on a medal. Martin also coached footballer Joe Thompson from the age of 21, supporting him to beat two battles with cancer, returning to score the winning goal that kept Rochdale in National League One on the final day of the 2017/2018 season.Martin currently has roles with the Great Britain Underwater Hockey Team and The EFL Championship. He also supports a handful of athletes on a private 121 basis. In the business world Martin supports a variety of businesses focused on building high performance cultures. He holds roles with several companies, delivering coaching and training to individuals and teams on a monthly basis. He also delivers keynote presentations and workshops to a wide variety of organisations as one off interventions - such as annual conferences and offsite team days. Martin's client list ranges from large global clients to growing SME's based in the North West.
