I teach at some of the most recognized film schools in Poland (Lodz), Moscow (VGIK) Beijing Film Academy, and such. Two times recipient of an award from the Oscar Committee of the Academy of Motion Picture and Sciences, and also an Emmy. I also had the honour of being invited to hold a full-day seminar at the National Film Board of Canada. Doing such travels I had the great pleasure to encounter François Aubry, and I learned to respect him as an absolute unique image creator, with unequivocal wealth of experience and sincere dedication to the artistic practices, as well as discovering new approaches in the art of image creation. François Aubry has also immersed himself in the universe of parallel light and the subject of virtual light sources, eminently contributing to the illusion of natural light, deriving from a far distance, even when operating in the confined spaces. At the end of July 2019 we conduct a symposium on image in cinematography here in Munich. We've invited François Aubry to participate to our conference for our international audience. François Aubry will be an extremely valuable asset for this event, and to experience and learn from François Aubry, his outstanding knowledge, combined with his passion for such noble approaches will be a great addition to the 30 sessions of our symposium. I am currently testing the very new Dedolight Lightstream® systems and have set-up two light stream studios in Toronto (very first of it's kind) and I am currently testing a variety of equipment from DLED-UV green-screen systems and a wide range of lighting equipment. I am the very first cinematographer in Canada to have tried and tested the Lighstream on professional sets and is actively using this new and revolutionary way to the most natural looking light there is (aside from the sunlight itself).
