Collected data for a research project comparing pregnancy rates using two different fixed time artificial insemination protocols. Presented a research project poster at the annual WSU Research Symposium.

Attained a Business Certificate with Honors entailing 32 hours of education in Business Finance, Business Operations Management and Ownership, Business Leadership Skills, and Career and Personal Development. Completed a personal business plan to use upon completion of my DVM degree.

Assisted in multiple trips to perform pregnancy diagnosis at several different cow calf facilities. Gained proficiency in the use of ultrasound techniques to diagnose pregnancy. Conducted breeding soundness examinations on bulls and rams.

Assist doctors with field procedures to include: set up, lab work, stocking the truck, orders, medical charts, and observed client communication and relations.

Participated in numerous wet labs including equine ophthalmology, equine field necropsy, equine lameness, bovine digit amputation, bovine dystocia, and other miscellaneous lab work.

Worked in the Agricultural Animal Barn at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital acting as a 4th year veterinary student. Took care of patients, provided treatment, and participated in farm calls.

Collected data for two different dairy research projects. Drew blood and collected plasma, took body temperature, milked the animals twice daily, collected milk samples, weighed and recorded all food and water intake, kept stalls and animals clean to maintain optimum animal health. (500 hours)

Attended the conference as a participant in the winning team from the University of Arizona. Traveled to Montana State University and competed against 12 other schools on the broad knowledge of Animal Science.

Assisted a Veterinarian as a member of the cattle veterinary crew. Performed difficult calf deliveries, placed equine nasogastric tubes, treated bloat, administered IV fluids, performed calf castrations, drained and treated abscesses, splinted broken legs, treated hoof rot, treated and sutured prolapsed rectum and uterus, sutured ulcerated eyes, performed Trichomoniasis testing, helped with pregnancy confirmation, vaccinations and treatments (intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous). Assisted with large animal surgeries and aided the Veterinarian with farm calls and client relations. Communicated with and provided information to equine and cattle owners. (800 hours)

Six week-long courses taken in Clovis, NM on many aspects of the Dairy industry and management. Earned the Southern Great Plains Dairy Consortium Certificate of Completion, the "Most Improved" award and the "Highest Final Exam Score" award.

Assisted five professors of biology, physiology and anatomy, chemistry, microbiology, and physics. Set up all classroom experiments and demonstrations and prepared all class dissections. Categorized taxonomy specimens for various demonstrations. Cared for and kept human cadaver and animal specimens well preserved. Maintained clean sterile labs and classrooms.
