At Austin Design, accessibility and compelling design are near and dear to our hearts. We work closely with local disability rights activist and founder of the Stavros Foundation for Independent Living, Chris Palamas, to incorporate universal design practices into all of our projects. As part of this team, I have garnered invaluable experience evaluating new and existing buildings based on IBC, IEBC, ADA and local code requirements. This attention to detail and focus on creating relatable design has proven to be transformative in the way I work; I have used this experience to define how I approach design in all aspects of my work – from the modeling and rendering, to project management – to create delightful spaces that everyone can enjoy.

At LineSync Architecture, all team members are enthusiastically encouraged to contribute design ideas by participating in each project kickoff charrette, or ‘white table’ as we call it. Through a series of three-minute design iterations, we are able to produce a vast variety of design concepts that build off each other to produce something that truly belongs to all of us. This level of creative involvement is carried through all stages of our projects. As part of this highly collaborative team, I contributed to all stages of the design process from initial documentation of existing conditions through construction coordination and administration. With a focus on three-dimensional understanding of each project, I worked extensively with Sketchup, Layout and Podium to produce design and detail drawings as well as compelling rendered images for residential, commercial and municipal projects.
