Functions include manufacturing, design, and reliability engineering as well as supplier teams and regulatory functions.• Collaborate with Medtronic’s global suppliers to improve production processes and ensure quality product by analyzing statistical data in Minitab and reviewing supplier tooling and processes for further quality and cost effective improvements.• Aid operations as well as drive efforts in discovering root cause of production processes both internally and externally at supplier locations.• Perform external process audits and quality system audits of suppliers to ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards. • Manufacturing areas of expertise include deep and shallow drawn metals, photo-etched metals, stamped metals, coatings, injection molded polymers, thermoformed polymers, machined polymers, die cut polymers, polymer resins, chemicals, and pressed anodes in various manufacturing value streams including batteries, capacitors, and feedthroughs.• Interface with suppliers during development to encourage improved processes as components progress from development to production for stamping, machining, injection molding, die cutting, and chemical mixes/reactions.• Troubleshoot design and supplier obstacles to improve areas of Design, Reliability, and Manufacturing.• Analyze capability and Measurement System Analysis for process improvement and stability.• Configure SPC charts for suppliers to further improve processes post development.
