Responsible for working collaboratively with children, families, individuals, and guardians in identifying and assessing support needs that are within the FSCD/PDD program mandate in order to assist in supporting children and adults with disabilities. Activities include assessment, referrals, service planning, commitment to supports and services, and ongoing monitoring and support.

-Responsible for completion of the Structural Analysis Family Evaluation home study.-Writing assessments for individuals wishing to become kinship caregivers, foster parents, private guardians, or adoptive parents. -Author and edit reports. -Strong capacity for conflict resolution.-Possess strong critical thinking, assessment, and interview skills.-Displays good professional judgment, diplomacy, and the highest standards of professional ethics.

Kinnections provides services to kinship caregivers referred by Calgary and Area Children’s Services so children can experience safety, wellness, and permanence with relatives and significant others.-Providing leadership, supervision, mentoring, consultation, and training to Kinnections staff.-Connecting program outcomes to program improvements to better serve caregivers and kinship children.-Case management of complex files.-Working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team with caregivers, schools, psychologists, case workers and other professionals. -Provided supervision and support to kinship caregivers.-Built caregiver parenting capacity using trauma informed and developmentally sensitive approaches.
