Our 99 bed ACLF has a long-standing history of serving seniors in our community, with approximately one-third of our population as Memory Care residents, our staff are attuned to anticipating the unique needs of this resident population.Congratulations to our Manor team for a deficiency free 2019 survey!Creating a meaningful living and work environment for residents and staff while managing daily operations in compliance with state regulations and company policy.Supporting the Executive Director in decision making, executing payments, budgetary considerations and public messaging.Serving with facility leadership to engage in meaningful conversations to improve policies, practices, preparedness and services for our community.Hosting a monthly Alzheimer's Support Group to offer insights, resources and encouragement to caregivers who have loved ones with a dementia diagnosis.Working with our team to execute a multi-phase construction project with focus on decreasing direct impact to resident population.Completed 2018 State survey with positive outcome and comments by surveyor that staff to staff relationships and staff to resident relationships are excellent. Assisted Living Facilty Management: Daily operations of ALF. Facilitating and building relationships with residents, families and staff to improve systems and provide quality care. Admissions: Generate community awareness with hospital discharge planners, physicians, home health agencies, and other sources of potential admissions. Coordinate and complete skilled and intermediate care admissions by screening prospective residents for an appropriate level of care and service. Building team through education, advocacy and relevancy while assessing systems and improving outcomes. Supporting staff with non-clinical resident needs, working with families for appropriate placement, interventions and transitions.

• Increased revenue by +$70,000 which led to 44% budget increase over 4 years; enabled organization to go from $30,000 annual deficit to closing “in the black” each year of my tenure.• Directly influenced corporate contribution of over $150,000 for energy efficiency Improvements for low-income residents and other contributions totaling more than $250,000 in two years’ time.• Wrote and was awarded two TDTD grants totaling up to $10,000 for website redesign and brochure creation and re-print.• Coordinated conferences, meetings, and special events, such as luncheons and community outreach events, ranging in size from 20 to 5000+ participants.• Identified community and organization needs –addition of Higher Learning Coalition and enhanced Workforce Development to better align high school and college students into career pathways via work with the McGavock Cluster Coalition and advocacy for community college campus.• Strengthened relationships with constituencies and grew influence with community organizations—outcome of greater participation by state and local elected officials, collaboration with state and local governmental and private agencies to benefit the organization and community including Aviation, Transportation and Economic Development.• Built collaborative relationships among Chamber constituencies in the region and around the state culminating in service as Vice-President of the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce Executives state board.• Developed brand via new website, social media platforms, tourism brochure and magazine publications.• Wrote press releases, magazine articles, and marketing collateral to further support the organization and community.

Worked on Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation unit to providing group sessions, entertainment and one to one interactions to generally keep residents from being bored and lonely. As part of the inter-disciplinary team, we supported individuals from respective focus for the duration of their stay. Worked with broader community to plan and implement events, improve systems and develop policy to better serve our population in an efficient manner. While in this position, also served with our foundation by writing and successfully securing grants.

Worked with adolescents who struggled with multiple mental health issues including addiction, depression and anti-social behavior in a secure environment. Led discussion groups and monitored day to day schedules and group sessions. Assisted in family sessions and documentation/case management.Served as Ropes Course Counselor and then became Ropes Course Coordinator. Facilitated High Ropes course initiatives and interactive team building sessions for adolescents, corporate groups and college groups.
