I lead and collaborate on healthcare delivery implementation research projects primarily funded through the National Institutes of Health. My work focuses on the appropriate identification and treatment behavioral health conditions and their sequelae within health services. I currently split my time the following grantsMI-CARE (UF1 MH121949): A multi-state hybrid implementation trial of nurse care manager guided collaborative care for depression and opioid use management in primary care using virtual care modalities. My role includes leading the qualitative evaluation of the implementation of nurse management care.PROUD (2UG1DA04031406): an 6-site implementation trial of primary care management of opioid use disorder using the collaborative care model. My roles include conducting research on implementation fidelity and staff attitude research.MISPARC (R18HS027076-01): An implementation feasibility trial of the SPARC trial from Kaiser Permanente designed to implement alcohol screening, brief intervention and medical management of alcohol use disorder in small primary care clinics in Michigan and Indiana. I lead the research and evaluation of this feasbility study along with PIs Katharine Bradley and Anya Day.

- Research assistant on the JJ-TRIALS (Juvenile Justice Translational Research on Interventions for Adolescents in the Legal System) research initiative funded through the National Institute of Drug Abuse- JJ-TRIALS is a multi-site study designed to improve the provision of evidence based screening, assessment and treatment and continuity of care for juveniles on community-based sentences. The study focuses primarily on substance abuse needs as well as sexually transmitted infections.

- PhD student in Criminal Justice- Research interests include addiction health service research, substance use disorder treatment and service provision, implementation science and pragmatic trial interventions, mixed method analyses and the nexus between public health and criminal justice

- Research assistant on an EU-wide research project on ‘What Works’ in reoffending (focus on substance use, domestic violence and youth)- Collated and analysed data across multiple SPSS data bases- Conducted multiple waves of survey research- Liaise with policy sector, researchers, and charitable sector experts in all of the EU’s member states- Wrote reports on the outcomes of the study- Published three academic papers deriving from this research

- Research administrator on a cross-sectional study of prisoners and their families. - Focus on prisoner and family wellbeing and experiences during incarceration (including substance use and mental health)- Collated data and conducted statistical analysis using SPSS - Contributed to analysis of research design - Participated in recruitment and interview components of project

- Worked as year long consultant to the RAND Corporation Europe on a large scale key informant study on UK drug policy concluding in a report in collaboration with the UK Drugs Policy Commission- The iterative key informant interviews contributed to a Delphi analysis identifying key barriers, facilitators and mechanisms for improving UK drug policy

- Lecturer in Criminology (Punishment and Justice, Juvenile Justice)- Taught undergraduate lectures and seminar classes on subjects such as penal ideologies, restorative justice practice and the death penalty.
