Served as the Project Manager for the ACS Bridge Program which works, in conjunction with the Inclusive Graduate Education Network (IGEN), to close the gap between undergraduate and doctoral degree attainment in the chemical sciences by students from underrepresented minority groups.Co-Chaired the IGEN Bridge Working Group and Advisory Management Team, setting strategic priorities, and devising long-term sustainability and development initatives. Maintained oversight of the ACS Bridge Program including budget, stakeholder relationships, and planning.

As a doctoral researcher, I collaborated across multiple laboratories, employing technical, analytical, and management skills to assist in the design and implementation of innovative research projects in the fields of cell biology, pharmacology, and neuroimaging. Thought the synthesis of results from hundreds of test samples, test component design coordination, and procedure optimization alongside an incredible team, we were able to derive novel results to support promotion of a new theraputic comound.Employed meta-analysis to qualify clinically relevant trends previously understudied, which examined the medical impacts of socioeconomic, cognitive, and demographic variables in stroke patients.

During my voyage as an undergraduate student researcher, both aboard the SSV Corwith Cramer and ashore with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI), I coordinated with subject matter experts and policy makers in the U.S. and Bermuda to articulate the evolving need for informed oceanographic protections. In support of this need, my team and I devised a survey to capture the insights of key leaders across multiple connected disciplines, whose findings were used to exemplify the demand for ocean literacy in educational and policy deliberations.Additionally, I sailed with a small crew across the Atlantic, collecting samples for genetic barcoding and genomic analysis, while navigating and managing shipboard activities as a junior watch officer.

While completing my degree as a full-time student, I collaborated on long-term research projects in asymmetric organic synthesis, homelessness and recidivism reduction, and evaluating the success of the University Honors Program following the implementation of holistic admissions practices. Research findings for all projects worked were presented across local, regional, and national conferences. The achievement I am most proud of however, is that research involving the interviews with over 100 currently incarcerated persons on their lived experiences successfully contributed to policy change within the Eau Claire County prison system to now include neurocognitive evaluations and the hiring of additional psychotherapy professionals.
