•Upon entering into the middle of the sale process, coordinated the internal seller activities for the divestiture of the Legal Solutions business. Worked closely with the Vice President of Corporate Development overseeing the day-to-day plans to ensure key activities were completed to allow the sale to proceed as intended.•Led a highly challenging and fractured governance committee consisting of 17 business areas critical to the Legal Solutions business. Drove the committee to prioritize and become accountable to deliverables through implementation of project management methodologies such as status reports and issue/risk/decision/dependency logs. Additionally increased transparency and communication throughout the committee members by utilizing structured and consistent communication tools.•Using the Transition Services Agreement (TSA), which is a contract by which Merrill is obligated to provide services to the buyer for a set period of time and vice versa, I guided the organization in the development of over 25 Statements of Work (SOWs) for the TSA. The development included identifying the needs, drafting the SOW, negotiating between both seller and buyer and obtaining final approval. These SOWs covered a variety of services from international payroll to IT to facilities management and will ensure a smooth transition of the business for both parties and their clients.

Translation And Localization Strategy Manager

•Directed the design and development of the Multilanguage Services platform, an enterprise software tool that supports the translation of all material throughout the company. -The tool was a highly complex system that seamlessly combined three distinct components-a client facing request submission portal, a computer assisted translation tool and a workflow enabling tool. -The result was an annual processing capability of over 10 million words across 10,000 projects in 26 languages. -After launch, created a governance structure to identify areas for process and systems improvements and enhancements. Developed business cases, prioritized improvements and enhancements.•Led the sourcing of additional language service providers for the enterprise. Previously the company relied on two translation providers for all services. Goals were to reduce expenses, improve quality and diversify the pool to allow for greater flexibility. We selected six providers with expected annual savings of 20%.•Developed, maintained and allocated the budget and financials of both the team’s U.S. and Canadian operations totaling close to $4 million.•Managed U.S. account management team of three. Partnered with internal clients to understand their current initiatives and localization and translation needs. Consulted on best practices and ways in which our team can help support their goals. Developed processes and delivered training to fit with client needs.•Launched the U.S. project management team. Created best methods and identified the most efficient and cost effective ways for processing translation requests within the platform. Team consistently met client deadlines 85% of the time (meeting the previously outsourced vendor service levels).•Created, implemented and led agency evaluations. To address quality concerns, an evaluation was developed to clearly weigh agency performance against statement of work and provide formal feedback. Evaluation is now used on a quarterly basis.

Additionally, because of these efforts Target Canada was also recognized by the Quebec government for our dedication to the francization of our company by being given the French Merits award. -Identified and recommended a personnel structure and budget to allow for team managers, linguists and project managers to execute long-term operations. -Developed onboarding materials, infrastructure and processes for the team; this was unique in that this was Target’s first headquarter team which was required to operate in a French language environment (hardware, software, etc.)•Core member of a cross-functional team responsible for testing the readiness of Target Canada to operate in a foreign language environment. -Developed testing plans to gauge readiness and quality of translations across approximately 75 critical areas. -Coordinated testing and reviewing of key team member and customer facing material by internal translation teams. -Oversaw execution of testing at live store locations in Quebec prior to opening of the stores to customers. -Managed reporting and response to findings of tests.•Developed compliance plans for Target Canada in regards to language and translation to ensure long-term adherence to OQLF regulations.•Responsible for creating and maintaining the budget and financials for all start up Canadian translations.•Coordinated all project plans for a team of four process managers. These project plans rolled up to the larger Target Canada launch plans.
