I gained a wealth of experience in Policy working within the Commission. The role consisted of conducting research through creating, running and analysing surveys. I also created reports that went to the Commissioner, and to elected representatives both in the Northern Ireland Assembly and to MP's in Westminster. I would with a wide number of people and engage with many organisations.

I worked within the Analytical Services Unit in the Department of Communities seconded through the Northern Ireland Statistical Research Agency. Within this role I have gained statistical experience using the software SAS through running monthly codes, quality assuring my team members code and through running and adapting my own code. I have also gained experience in policy work in my current role in the Social Inclusion Team. I have experience meeting with senior members of staff in the Civil Service, Ministers and within other government departments such as councils and the community and voluntary sectors. I have helped construct surveys as well as conducting telephone surveys and face-to-face interviews with citizens, some of whom would be considered vulnerable.

Within this role I have to aide contractors when they arrive onsite, assisting them to sign in and getting them the required information and access into the necessary areas answering calls, assisting farmers to get online to complete applications, using a number of different software packagaes including Microsoft Office. And general office duties.

Carrying out research papers on behalf of NI21.

I gained experienced using a statistical programme called GenStat. With this I ran statistical tests on behalf of AFBI and DARD researchers. This entailed liaising with a statistical consultant to determine the best protocol in which to carry out statistical procedures. Within this role I worked on my own and as part of a team. I had to write and programme statistical tests, ensuring that they were correct, editing them if needed.

Within this role, I had to input data regarding a scheme that DARD ran giving vaccinations to farmers. For this I used Excel and had to input data of those who had attended their clinic appointments and those awaiting theirs. I had to correspond with the farmers in the scheme through email, phone and through the post to let them know about their appointments. I have experience using TRIM.

Within this role I gained experience and skills within research, on behalf of the I.F.I, who were looking to create a new youth programme for Northern Ireland.This entailed talking to various community groups and contacting different government organisations. I had to prepare several summary lists and reports with the information I had gathered from both the different organisations and from information gathered through researching on the internet. The position involved some field research. I finally had to produce a report for the Board, to consider a proposal for a new youth scheme.

I gained experience in general office duties, Microsoft Xcel, qualitative data entry, franking post, telephone duties, filing, reorganising the filing system and archiving information. Entering invoice data and accounts in Excel.

I am currently studying Criminology and Social Policy.

During my time at Tescos I was a member of the Customer Service Desk, where I dealt with customer complaints, refunds, exchanges and any other issue they may have, while also serving customers and using the lottery machine. I also achieved 100% with the mystery shopper while I was on the desk. I was also a member of the electrical department, giving advice to customers regarding their electrical needs and purchases, while in this department I had to sell payment plans on their purchases.

I studied Biological Sciences (Access to University)
