Staff Accountant will participate in a variety of accounting and finance tasks including bank and account reconciliations, amortization of prepaid loan fees and debt issuance costs, as well as various other tasks associated with the accounting for our various real estate and investment companies.Responsibilities:- Assist with month-end bank reconciliations, investigating unreconciled items and performing follow up with members of treasury/accounting as needed to resolve open issues- Assist with the preparation of quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations, including recording adjusting entries, as applicable, as well as workpaper preparation- Preparation of amortization schedules associated with prepaid loan fees and debt issuance costs, including preparation of journal entry imports- Understanding key components of financial statements and how they impact a company’s ability to obtain financing- Understand the various types of financing and how/when are the needed. Also understand what information is required for a loan request with a lender- Monitor loan covenants and reporting requirements with our various lenders
