I am a person who combines creativity and innovation and for the past 25 years my family has dedicated their professional lives to Elan International, a Women’s Contemporary wholesale clothing company. My entire life I was fully immersed in the family business. Growing up I would tag along at trade shows, listen in on meetings and assist with fittings. However, over the past few years I developed a better understanding of the business and was able to contribute in a much more powerful way. Around 4 years ago I was running the Elan social media page for a while and noticed a huge demand for Elan International to go retail. I took matters into my own hands and decided to start the first ever Elan Pop Up shop. The sale was a huge success selling over 20,000 pieces of inventory while also creating major brand awareness for the company. The Elan Sample sale turned into an annual event and even led to the company finally opening their own retail store. This past year I got to incorporate my creative talents and had the privilege of designing my own line of modest clothing for the sample sale and got to see my pieces fly off the racks. Going forward I want to use all the skills and experience I gained over the years along with my business education to help other companies in the fashion industry grow and succeed. My goal is to steer companies in the right direction based on what their customers are asking for.
