Currently I work as a sales assistant in a clothing store called M&CO, here I work in a team to help run the shop day to day outside of university, bringing positive ideas forward for the sales team. I also have to make sure sales go through smoothly in a fast paced environment, whilst handling money and sometimes visually merchandising new stock, ensuring customers have a fun shopping experience by being polite and approachable.

Responsibilities: Being able to assist with a helping hand to owner of the business, newly graduate Mia Herrod. Setting up and styling photo shoots, helping with embroidery/ embelishment / on the garments and preparing for new projects/ trade and craft fairs with social media advertising and on her website.

Coco’s is a café local to me serving homemade food and beverages. I acquired this job after completing a week’s work experience from school after which the owner then offered a permanent post to me. I was able to participate with the cooking which allowed me to be creative together with contributing my ideas, whilst also gaining experience with handling money (i.e. cashing up at the end of the day) and using a till facility. Responsibilities: I was approached by Actinium to be involved in the company’s upcoming clothing line of a new fine knit fabric, I was responsible for imaginative fashion drawings done to a specific brief, to bring the ideas to life. Taking into consideration of the age range of women from 16-35 whilst also thinking of colour and pattern too. I attended meetings with the owner Jennie Lock, on a weekly basis to discuss designs.
