I started my teaching career after finishing college but found myself at a crossroads when I was invited to join staff with Cru. I then served as a student mentor to college students in the Tampa Bay Metro Area with my focus eventually shifting to mentoring collegiate athletes. I was able to then put my Spanish speaking skills to work when I served with my husband as Chaplain at the London Olympics as well as the Pan Am Games in Toronto. We then spent a short stint in Washington, DC at National Community Church before I returned back to teaching middle and high school Spanish as I simultaneously earned my MA in Romance Languages. I enjoy writing as I have served as a freelance writer with Zondervan, as well as blogging. I also serve as a volunteer teaching English to an adult English Language Learner in my free time. I am interested in growing my opportunities to write as a freelance writer, whether in English or in Spanish.
