Following over a decade of work in the arts and education with a focus on early childhood development, I am challenging myself to begin a new adventure which requires me to significantly expand my skill sets, explore industries recently unfamiliar to me, and push myself as an analytically-minded, creative, problem-solver. In other words, this "old dog" is learning "new tech!" I'm embarking on a career in web and app design and development and finding it fascinating - if also intimidating and at times overwhelming - because the field is in constant creation/invention mode. I look forward to learning everything I can while still barely scratching the surface. I can't wait to collaborate with people who have professional backgrounds and creative experiences so different from mine. And I hope that by investing my hard work, discipline, imagination, and positive attitude in this new career, I'll be given opportunities to succeed in ways I've yet to find elsewhere.
