Appointed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but with an independent mandate, I served as the National Citizens' Representative for the Netherlands at the Conference on the Future of Europe.The Conference on the Future of Europe was the largest event in EU history focused on citizen participation. Nationally, I conducted the 'Kijk op Europa' research with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to understand Dutch perspectives on the nine themes of the conference. Internationally, I shared the results of 'Kijk op Europa' with various stakeholders and during plenary sessions and working groups at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. I participated in the Working Group ‘Stronger Economy, Social Justice, and Jobs’.
