Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating all contracts and budgets necessary for research site startup. Serving as the primary contact between sites and sponsors, I ensured contracts reflected conditions and specifications of each study while conforming with each party’s internal standards, methods, and criteria and complying with all applicable regulatory requirements. This also includes maintaining and managing data tracking and progress of each contract within the database. Partnering with legal team members and sponsors, I secured authorization of contracts, then informed all stakeholders of contract document completion and turnover to monitors and project managers for activation.

Provided counsel on legal matters including, but not limited to: Title IX, ADA, Section 504, Title VII, FLSA, SC Payment of Wages Act, and FMLA; Conducting internal investigations regarding Title IX complaints of sexual harassment and sexual assault as well as complaints of harassment and other employee relations issues; Drafted and reviewed university contracts, policies, and procedures; Coordinated with outside counsel in litigation matters; Drafted internal memoranda of law; Provided staff and student training on Title IX and other legal issues; Served on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee
