Indwell is an organization that creates supportive affordable housing communities for tenants to assist them with their health, wellness and sense of belonging. The organization works to assist those struggling with mental health, addictions etc. to stay housed in a safe environment. As program manager, I am working with a team to start a program (new renovated building) in a new county for the organization. I work to: - create community connections- build relationships with service providers- meet applicants (90+) for our housing- fundraise for the program - connect with investors and blossom these relationships- develop the program within budget- create RFP's and other grant proposalsAnd on a daily basis - I work with tenants to assist them with the supports they need on a daily basis. Connecting them to mental health supports, developing daily programming, monitoring tenant health and working to ensure rent is paid and subsidies are available to our tenants with low income.

In this position, I worked to assist the MHPSS team on day-to-day initiatives, including but not limited to:- Leading the development and dissemination of a World Mental Health Day Action Kit. This included presenting the action kit at various Community of Practice meetings, and working with the MHPSS and Communications teams to design social media and the press kit. - Supporting in the writing, research, and submission of a research project final report on Mental Health Case Management in Jordan - Completing an MHPSS Desk Review in preparation for an emergency response - Designing and developing a MHPSS briefs to be shared internally and externally- Completing a technical review of Maternal Mental Health literature- Coordinating an event with WHO to share summary findings of mental health integration into primary health care- Conducting a desk review and developing a presentation for Mental Health and Climate Change- Reviewing of MHPSS webpages for updating- Supporting in the platform design and dissemination of MHPSS Quality Standards

The Autism Intervention Program provides services for children who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and have been assessed and deemed eligible for Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI).The program includes three components a) Child and Family Support Services for clients who have completed the eligibility assessment process and been deemed eligible for IBI, and are now on the chronological waitlist for IBI b) the provision of an individualized Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) program, with c) Transition Support Services available upon discharge from IBI.The program is provided within Brant County by Lansdowne Children’s Centre. It is part of the Hamilton-Niagara Regional Autism Initiative (HNRAIP) who administers, supervises and provides clinical supervision for the four programs within their catchment area that includes: Brant, Haldimand-Norfolk, Hamilton, and Niagara.As an instructor therapist I provided one on one IBI therapy to the clients of the centre. I focused on child specific programming, monitoring and collecting data on skill acquisition and evaluating the success of the child within the framework indicators within each written program.The position also included preparing materials, conducting group sessions and attending weekly team meetings to discuss the successes and challenges encountered with new programs, new behaviors and changes in environments for the clients the week prior.

The position of English teacher in this capacity was to:- Educate seven kindergarten classes with children aged 3-8 for three hours every morning throughout the week- Adhere to an established curriculum led in unified class structures and equal education for all classes- Plan field trips that were organized to provide English context to every day life

It required: - Daily teaching of seven classes with eighteen students each - Teachers to prepare their own curriculum for the classes that worked to further promote the current English speaking and writing levels of the classes - Preparing and implementing field trips, competitions, school events, and holiday excursions for all 300 enrolled students
