My professional career was as a senior instructional designer, curriculum developer, and eLearning developer, with my own small business, Learner Centric. Much of my career was spent as a consultant to technology companies such as Apple, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Roche-Genentech, and Salesforce. I developed sales, marketing, product, and application training, both instructor-led and web-distributed. I also delivered training, performed voice-over narration, and edited audio and video. In addition to my technology clients, I developed management training and worked in the non-profit sector. I've created courses for social workers, educators, and police officers on topics such as child abuse, domestic violence, cultural competence, and substance abuse prevention.I'm politically active. I've developed and promoted legislative measures, and served terms as Mayor and Councilmember of my city (2000 - 2004, 2017 - 2020).
