Supervised a practicum project for IANSA, as part of The New School's United Nations Summer Study 2021. The project supported IANSA’s work associated with the seventh BiennialMeeting of States (BMS7) on the UN Programme of Action (UNPoA) to Prevent, Combat, andEradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspect. Students developed country profiles that informed advocacy strategies for civil society. Students produced advocacy briefs along five themes: gender mainstreaming; diversion; stockpile management and security; marking of firearms;and, ammunition controls.Responsibilities included: providing feedback pertaining to these five advocacy themes and policy writing, coordinating communications and scheduling between all project team members, and supporting the overall performance of the project.
