Kigali, Rwanda

• Managed day-to-day country-wide operations for One Acre Fund Rwanda – 1,700 FTE, $11.6M annual budget, $5.1M in sales, and 98% microfinance loan repayment.
• Guided strategic restructuring of staff and budget for 2018 towards overall efficiency goal, contributing to $1.6 million dollars in savings (10%), while simultaneously increasing clients served by 25%.
• Directly managed senior leadership team - 6 division leads charged with external branding and government relations, sales and marketing, microfinance loan collection, product innovation, logistics, HR, and people.
• Owned annual country-level strategic planning across divisions and launched Rwanda 5-year strategic planning process. Held senior leaders accountable to department and country-level objectives and key results.
• Led successful hiring for 5 leadership positions, including the role of Deputy Country Director and People Lead.
• Piloted and launched Inspiration Working Group, bringing together a diverse group of team members from across departments and job grades to build an energized and inclusive culture focused on our core mission.

Rwanda

• Implemented One Acre Fund’s farmer extension model through 1,064 sales and loan agents, selling over $5M of life-improving products to 282,000 Rwandan farmers.
• Directly managed team of 4 - including marketing and sales, farmer trainings, staff development, product delivery, and microfinance loan collection.
• Developed and implemented sales growth strategy to surpass annual growth targets 2 years in a row – reaching 282,000 clients in the 2018 agricultural season.
• Designed and managed performance management systems to enable team of 1,064 to achieve a 97.5% loan repayment rate for the 2017 agricultural season.

Rwanda

• Implemented One Acre Fund’s farmer extension model through 370 sales and loan agents, selling over 3.5$ M of life-improving products to 106,000 Rwandan farmers.
• As repayment performance lead, designed repayment strategy and implemented performance management systems to lead team to achieve 98.5% repayment – the highest performing repayment season in 3 years.
• Designed and executed marketing and enrollment campaigns, achieving 47% client growth from 2014 to 2015.

Rwanda

• Implemented One Acre Fund’s farmer extension model through 60 sales and loan agents, selling $270,000 of life-improving products to 8,000 Rwandan farmers.
• Managed turnaround of one of the lowest performing business units, improving team morale, increasing customer base by 40%, and achieving top microfinance loan repayment performance.
• Partnered with Rwandan Government to execute collection process for the national fertilizer subsidy program totaling over $700,000 in revenue.
• Designed significant extension system overhaul, streamlining the way over 400 sales and loan agents deliver trainings and services to 60,000 client farmers.

Modesto, California Area

• Worked around the clock as canvassing trainer as part of 10th district GOTV effort. Proud to be part of the team that led the entire country in voter registration, voter pledges and doors knocked to unseat a 4-term.
• Staffed fundraising events, representing the campaign and soliciting donations from mid-level donors towards a $350,000 Q3 fundraising goal. Managed and executed call time for low-dollar donor renewals.

Bujumbura, Burundi

• Co-led sales team in standardizing messaging and formulating three-month plan to increase condom sales.
• Co-managed PSI-Burundi’s youth-friendly marketing efforts, designing vendor-training curriculum covering sales techniques and HIV/AIDS health education.

• Managed online social strategy for web team, raising $10.4M in private revenue during FY ’09 during Haiti earthquake response, and $9.4M in private revenue during FY ‘10.

• Secured $150,000 prize through coordination of Mercy Corps’ social media participation in Western Union’s 50 Days of Giving Contest.
