Invited to create an Olympic Oval commemorative anniversary book. This contract position evolved to include serving on the Oval Executive Management Team to lead the 25th anniversary season celebrations to a “Best Ever” standard.Initiated “My Most Memorable Moments” (Mmmm) campaign, prompting an open dialogue regarding the Calgary Oval’s rich 25 year history. Identified, interviewed and documented the key legacy achievements of historic athletes, coaches, staff, volunteers, stakeholders, partners, and those who have had an impact on the building of “Canada’s Medal Factory”.Published "The Fastest Ice in the World™ Celebrating our 25-year legacy". Printed 3000 copies and launched the book with Oval stakeholders.Mentored the marketing, events, communications and sponsorship (MECS) team to cultivate a clear corporate vision; to build on the Oval tradition as a world class speed skating and high performance sport facility dedicated to the pursuit of excellence, health and wellness for all. Shared knowledge of industry best practices for traditional and digital marketing, design and branding. Together identified where advancements were required to deliver an integrated marketing strategy, increase internal and external communications, developing superior community and corporate event protocols and creative standards.Spearheaded the introduction of innovative events and programs, which integrated community, partner and corporate initiatives to increase public participation, awareness and safety while raising funds to support the Oval High Performance Programs and athletes.

Working in collaboration with a small senior leadership team and a large team of experts, to ensure the successful construction of a $30 million, 40,000 square foot award winning facility including; 50 state-of-the-art interactive exhibits, eight life size sport hero statues and a Calgary Public Art Collection. Construction and installation was completed on time and on budget for a July 1, 2011 Canada Day Opening Celebration, on track for LEED Gold certification.Worked directly with development partners contracted through CANA Construction including mechanical, electrical and sub-trades as well as associated design teams Stantec, Taylor Group, C7A, Cortina, teams of video producers, IT architects and integrators, AV specialists, exhibit fabricators, curatorial designers and furnishing specialists.

With a new team on and off the field, new jerseys, new ownership and new management, rebranded the Club as “Stampeder Football, Calgary’s Horsepower”. Devised and implemented a successful, cost efficient, integrated customer experience centered marketing strategy, respecting the Clubs 60 year tradition and deep community history, while creating a current rolling invitation to reengage Calgarians, enlist prospective partners and fire up a buzz of excitement for the future.Launched an award winning website which included data gathering, opt-in insider program, video, blogs, social media, online game, email notification, advertising streams and an intuitively driven content management system enabling the site to be easily updated. Increased revenue, customer loyalty and retention thru "RESEAT.com", a season ticket holder automatic renewal program which offered a secure forum for Stampeder fans to purchase and sell premium single-game tickets, and targeted specific markets for designated event and game day experiences.Negotiated and managed all marketing, web site, video replay board production and design, advertising including; television, radio, newspaper, signage and banner assets as well as all print assets including; brochures, season ticket/information packages, individual game day and event tickets, parking passes, accreditation etc. Ensuring creative standards were raised to an exceptional level while overall budgets were not exceeded. Developed a sponsor asset schedule to ensured all CFL and Stamps properties were assigned in a timely manner and all contracted sponsorship commitments were delivered.Submitted quarterly reports to the Ownership group.

Working with cross-functional, multi-project teams, ultimately responsible for the successful development of interactive and web-based solutions being delivered on time and on budget according to defined scope. Planned, scheduled and controlled project activities to meet objectives to satisfy project requirements and interdependencies, while building positive professional relationships with clients and associates. Within an emerging, fast-paced, dynamic industry advanced company role from project manager to executive team member, serving multimillion dollar accounts for companies such as Mercedes-Benz USA, SAAB Global, Proctor and Gamble, Exelon and Denny’s USA.Assignment and management of approximately 60 staff within the project planning department including all company project managers, information architects, content managers, copywriters and research analysts.Acted as senior project manager of business units including; numerous accounts with multiple projects and a staff over 100. Responsible for overall scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation and roll-up of all projects’ key milestones, ensuring projects adhered to overall account direction and strategy. Contributed to the management, mentoring and performance review of team members within the business unit. Provided direction to resolve resource, efficiency, and performance issues. Activated the New Business Development Unit RFP response team as required.

Together with Coaches Shannon Miller and Kathy Berg developed the first ever International High Performance Female Hockey Program including the Calgary Oval X-Treme (WWHL) the University of Calgary Dinos (CIAU) women’s hockey team, Calgary Oval Lightning (SWHL), a development level midget program and skills camps. This included recruitment, relocation and retention of athletes to Calgary.Coordinated and successfully hosted the first ever CIAU Female Hockey Tournament.
