The Atlanta Public Schools Adult Education Program provides free academic services, GED preparation and English as a Second Language to adults in Atlanta and Fulton County.As an instructor, I am responsible for teaching the Adult Basic Education, Pre-GED and GED curriculum using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner in a classroom setting. I plan the lessons and curriculum based on the learning needs of culturally diverse and multi-skill level students which prepare students to pass the GED tests and/or enhance basic education skillsAdditional Duties Include: • Teach the GED test areas (literature, writing, social studies, science and math) or adult basic education skills areas (writing, math, language) • Plan and prepare relevant and practical class lessons and monitors student’s performance. • Implement a variety of instructional delivery methods, that include group or individualized instruction as well as computer programs that help students make learning gains. • Administer TABE testing material to determine individual progress. Creating a climate that encourages and supports learning. • Establish effective classroom management that enhances student learning

Starbase Robins is a Department of Defense funded educational program aimed at increasing S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) education awareness in middle schools throughout Middle GA. With the StarBase 2.0 program, my responsibilities included: •Assisting the after school program leader in the set up and execution of STEM activities. •Monitoring up to 30 6th-8th graders at Feagin's Mill Middle School•Meeting goals with each student to: -Increase STEM interest and knowledge, -Increase communication and team-building skills, and -Increase awareness of personal goals and career opportunities in STEM fields

Duties a Mercer University Phonathon Caller: -Serve as an ambassador for Mercer University by establishing an open and engaging line of communication between Mercer University and its supporters.-Have an understanding of Mercer, its organizational structure, and its annual needs for financial support.-Call constituents (alumni, parents and friends of Mercer) to build rapport, update demographic information and acquire gifts to the Mercer Fund.-Work with other callers in a team oriented environment to further the development of the student calling program and reach goals.-Handle personal information with extreme confidentiality.
