While working with the office of Alumni Relations at College of Charleston, my daily focus was on the marketing strategies of the Alumni Association through email campaigns and social media. I wrote tracked email campaigns and event attendance, fundraising and individual alumni using software engineered specifically for non-profit organizations. Email campaigns reached 30,000 people, while social media campaigns regularly reached 10,000. During my time, I also assisted in the execution of several major campus events like College of Charleston Board of Trustee meetings and A Charleston Affair.

Designed curriculum and weekly lectures for students, as well as providing mentoring and leadership for new CofC students. Classes were structured around first year college life, as well as topics discussed in their First Year Experience course about Communication and Women and Gender Studies.

CisternYard is College of Charleston's student run media organization. I began as a news writer in 2012, and was promoted to Managing Editor in 2013. During my tenure at CisternYard news, I wrote and edited news and feature articles for CisternYard.com and oversaw the production of the quarterly magazine, The Yard. I ran a staff of 20 employees and 20+ contributing writers, managed payroll, rewrote the employee handbook, oversaw staff hiring and training, and initiated a long-term strategic plan for the future growth and management of CisternYard that is still in place today.
