This role leads a team of bankers and a local service team that manage the financial needs of clients across a range of diversified and rural industries. Some of these industries include Health and Aged Care, Manufacturing, Import/Export, Wholesale Trade, Professional Services, Education, Religious Groups, Not-for-Profit and Regional clients in Western region of QLD. The role works with clients on transactions of capital expenditure and development, succession, acquisition, divestment, buyouts and growth capital. The role supports businesses with ECommerce, digital banking systems integration, Data Analytics, Cyber Crime education, removal of operational risk for our clients as well as structured debt facilities and management of cash investments. Critical to the customer relationship management of key accounts is understanding clients businesses to support achievement of their business and personal goals. Customer advocacy and new client acquisition are key success measures while managing risk and compliance of the portfolio.

Working across QLD, this role leads a team of bankers primarily involved in specialised structuring of transactions, corporate banking tenders, and acquisition of new clients for commercial banking with turnover from $10m to $500m. Some solutions included acquisition finance (including assistance in identifying target companies to acquire), introduction of new capital to fund growth (private and public) , unlocking equity for the shareholders, debt solutions, Pre-IPO funding, MBO's or providing event driven finance for key milestones.

This role led a team responsible for the credit assessment function across exposures held in countries in the Asia Pacific Region. These countries included Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Thailand, Indonesia and Taiwan. Part of the role was working with these countries to test new markets for credit quality and obtain operating licences in these countries. Our support included origination assessment, ongoing monitoring and working with clients who had experienced a downturn in their trading performance. Other responsibilities included financial and non-financial risk management and Controls Assurance of the portfolio.
