Responsible for the operation of 3 wellness centres (fitness) in different facilities across Strathcona County including Millennium Place, the Ardrossan Recreation Complex and the newly modernized Glen Allan Recreation Complex. I work with a team of 3 amazing full timers and 25 fantastic part time staff to help our community be as active as possible .

Millennium Place

In a busy recreation facility that sees more than 2 million guests a year, I oversee full time and part time staff responsible for spontaneous use and childcare areas at Millennium Place including the gymnasium, indoor playground, guest childcare area, recreational skating opportunity/drop-in family programming, and the innovative 'youth lounge' designed for ages 12-17. Working in a position where innovation, collaboration, dependability and passion are a precursor to success. Supervising up to 50 reports in a dynamic environment, creating and supervising programs for youth ages 6-17. Responsible for maintaining/meeting budget, community demand and a high level of programming through constant certification and professional development.
