Laboratory Technical Manager
Current• Plan and manage projects and resources to meet research goals. Work independently, and report to Division Director.• Identify training and resource needs.• Manage acquisitions. Write Statements of Need/Work and Sole Source Justifications. Act as CAO for 5 purchase card holders. • Budget management. Oversee branch funding including the initial request, managing projections throughout the fiscal year, tracking spending and preparing budget reports for Branch Director and Principal Investigators. • Manage and coordinate work of laboratory staff. Provide technical and scientific advice to postdoctoral fellows and other research personnel.• Manage and maintain scientific equipment and supplies. Maintain stocks of common supplies and reagents for the branch. • Design, oversee, and implement laboratory-based research to investigate germline genetic variants associated with cancer risk. Analyze data and prepare scientific material for presentation at meetings and conferences. Conduct literature searches and collaboratively prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
