- As first technical contributor on business/tech cross-functional features team, I implemented improvements to a core experiment type for one of our most important customers and managed a project to bring a new experiment type online to facilitate a new customer's pilot- Abstracted scientific experiments in code as user-facing functions with smart, responsive default options, allowing customers to specify protocols to run remotely in ECL's facility- Wrote functions to convert user inputs to database objects containing or linking to all the information (including representations of physical resources) required to run experiments with user samples- Participated in multiple all-hands-on-deck hazardous material handling, instrumentation, and software update efforts centered around moving ECL's physical laboratory from the Bay Area to Austin, TX

With Dr. Tami Lieberman and Dr. Roy Kishony, I studied the evolution of Mycobacterium tuberculosis during infection of individuals and the prevalence of infection with multiple strains using high-throughput whole genome next-generation sequencing.

With Dr. Aranda Duan and Dr. Matt Wilson, I investigated the causal role of delta oscillations in producing the working memory deficits in schizophrenia using optogenetics.

Working with a team of undergraduates and Dr. Deepak Mishra, I helped develop a novel technique for RNA strand displacement for information processing in mammalian cells. Our team won a gold medal at the iGEM Americas East Regional Jamboree.
