I had a very hands-on role in this position, and had the opportunity to be involved in many facets of the business under the leadership of the CEO and working closely with the Sales Director. My duties included: Strategic Leadership:- Contributed towards an overall business strategy that would lead to achieving sales targets and company objectives.- Identified opportunities for growth and extension of the brands, set goals around these opportunities.- Ensured consistent messaging across all channels, with an emphasis on digital strategies.- Implemented brand positioning and marketing initiatives as required by the brand's international team.Operational Management:- Managed day-to-day operations, including sales, marketing, distribution, and customer service.- Ensured that all departments were focused on common achievements.- Analysed systems in all departments for improved efficiency and productivity.Financial Management:- Worked together with the Sales Director to budget and set targets for different distribution centres as well as new product launches.- Analysed financial performance to make data-driven decisions that increase profitability.- Assisted with pricing strategies, stock-on-hand planning and investment planning.Team Leadership:- Led, mentored and developed a cross-functional team.- Cultivated a strong organisational culture that resonated with the brand’s values.- Ensured talent development, employee engagement, retention and training.Brand and Product Strategy:- Co-ordinated with international and regional teams to introduce product offerings as well as marketing campaigns.- Made sure that product launches and marketing initiatives were in line with consumer expectations locally.- Managed market research for understanding customer trends and preferences.Sales and Distribution:- Created plans for increasing revenue via sales activities.- Established relationships with key stakeholders (retailers and partners).
