As an Engineer at Worley Consulting, I have been recognized for my skills in working with various types of hydraulic modeling. In this capacity, I have taken charge of the hydraulic modeling for wastewater collection networks, playing a pivotal role in the design and analysis of projects using Bentley's SewerGEMs and WaterGEMs software, as well as engaging in hydraulic and water quality modeling with HEC-RAS.Key Responsibilities:-Developed the design for wastewater systems hydraulic model for two municipalities in Brazil, serving a total population of 15,000. One municipality is located in the state of Minas Gerais and the other in Goiás. The project entailed data collection and analysis (topographic, population, hydrographic), environmental law assessment, GIS software data processing, and modeling in SewerGEMs.- Created a hydraulic model in SewerGEMs for the sewage collectors of a municipality with 240,000 inhabitants in the state of Minas Gerais. This project also involved preliminary analysis using GIS software to assess the sanitary flow contributions from the urban areas.- Developed a hydraulic model in HEC-RAS to assess flood risk for a facility in Saudi Arabia, evaluating risks for different scenarios by varying the dimensions of drainage structures and considering climate change scenarios. The project was managed by the USA and in partnership with the London office, which developed the hydrological model.- Conducted land use and cover analysis for a mining site in the state of Maranhão, Brazil, to calculate runoff rates from waste areas for effluent treatment evaluation and downstream water body protection.- Developed process flow diagrams for the treatment of industrial effluents for a plant in the USA.- Researched and collected data from master plans, and municipal sanitation plans to identify structures and analyze water and wastewater system for municipalities. This supported Due Diligence projects for sanitation company auctions in Brazil.

This process involved executing water balance analyses, self-purification studies using HEC-RAS software, and evaluating the viability of centralized versus decentralized systems.- Designed over 2,000 km of sanitary sewage networks, encompassing both gravity networks and collectors, leveraging the SewerGEMS hydraulic model for verification and simulation of flow rates. My responsibilities also extended to designing sewage lift stations and discharge lines for each of the municipalities, selecting the appropriate equipment for the systems.- Developed an online dashboard using ArcGIS Online to enable comprehensive visualization of the municipalities' sewage systems from SewerGEMs outputs.- Estimated the Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Operational Expenditure (OPEX) for systems over the project horizon.- Undertook the analysis of water supply systems for nine municipalities utilizing WaterGEMs software.Additionally, my role encompassed:- Investigating non-traditional engineering solutions to address sanitation challenges in informal settlements and protect water bodies, involving hydrological modeling with HEC-HMS and evaluations of drainage and sanitation systems.- Conducting Due Diligence for public sanitation service auctions in Brazil, which entailed detailed asset characterization and forecasting of future asset needs.
