I began my education in computers at the age of 10. Intrigued by the subject, I installed my first Slackware 7.1 (GNU/Linux) at around 13 years old, which came with a local Computer Magazine. I was instantly fascinated by it. Seven years later, I obtained my first real job related to computers and technology at IBM, initially managing Windows Servers. My team and I managed approximately 6000 servers on the account I was assigned to, interacting with people from around the world. This role helped me acquire a plethora of skills.Due to IBM’s flexibility, I was able to transfer to the Unix area to work on the FFIC account, managing AIX and Linux servers. It was during this time that I honed my ability to learn quickly, especially when it involved subjects that intrigued me, and I developed good relationships with my colleagues and others in my environment. After my experience at IBM, I worked for nearly four years at Kopius, CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) account as a DevOps Engineer. This position was 100% remote, which I greatly enjoyed, and it allowed me to learn extensively about the work culture in the United States. It was a rewarding and enriching experience that added significantly to my professional development.Outside of work, I enjoy playing the guitar, visiting different places, spending time with friends, and drinking a cold beer at a bar.
