I provide career advisory and mentoring to graduate students from the Academy. Through personalized guidance and mentorship, I assist these students on their journey to land their first job in the field of Design.

Education has always been a passion of mine, I’m using this sabbatical to dedicate time to mentoring and coaching designers who are seeking guidance and support in their professional journeys. I'm also working with @Parsons New School building a class for the Strategic Design and Management MS.

Creative Direction‣ I was responsible for ensuring that every design solution prioritized user-centered resolutions by applying design principles, conducting user research, and establishing sustainable scalability for future iterations.‣ I collaborated with Sixt as a client to lead the conceptualization of a revamped mobile app for car rentals within a 3-month timeframe. We generated over 100 innovative concepts, crafted a brand-new design system, and devised a strategic brand direction that reshaped the car rental experience.Team Building and Mentoring‣ Implemented Design Operations for the UX, UI, and Service Design teams, which involved crafting defined processes, methods, and communication systems to enhance collaboration.‣ Defined career development paths and implemented mentoring programs, resulting in the development of a high-performing design organization with members spanning across the USA and Colombia.Stakeholder Relations‣ Cultivated a strong track record of collaborating and effectively communicating with stakeholders throughout Japan, Dubai, Copenhagen, and London, to gain cross functional buy-in, understand insights into business requirements and ultimately translate them into impactful design solutions strategies.Clients: Amazon, Sixt, Jose Andres, DBMethod

- I led the creation of learning materials and classes for an online platform dedicated to Digital Product Creation and Management. I created 6 modules of content and design for courses focused on User Centered Design, UX, UI, Product Design and Strategy. - Leadership training: Tools and Mindsets for VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) environments.- I guided three cohorts with students throughout South America and conducted two masterclasses, prioritizing a collaborative learning approach and hands-on exercises. As a result, our students graduated with valuable practical experience, fully prepared to excel in their professional settings.

Design Director | US | LATAM | APAC‣ Directed supervision of 30+ designers and design managers.‣ Responsible for driving innovative design solutions and assured design quality across teams. ‣ Lead internal design training initiatives and played a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the company's overarching design vision to serve global clients, including Apple, MTA, Citi Bank, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, The Vatican, and Electronic Arts.‣ Collaborated with Fiserv as a client, where I successfully assembled a team of 20 designers within a span of just 3 months. Together, we designed 3 apps for the card services area. Our extensive research with more than 1500 hours, resulted in a transformative experience for 24 financial institutions following the launch.- Clients: Fiserv, PGIM, MTA, Apple.

‣ Directed the planning, execution, and global team leadership for the New York MTA app project, which yielded 1 million downloads within the initial 3 months for both MYMTA and MYAAR apps. Additionally, played a pivotal role in designing 10 core features for the MYMTA app and website.‣ Partnered with Apple as a client, taking the lead in assembling and guiding the initial team of designers. Together, we developed an Apple Watch app tailored for insurance companies. This app resulted in a 2.3x increase in active days per month after just one year and a substantial 76% boost in minutes of exercise after 12 months.‣ I spearheaded the design of a mentorship program, later scaled globally, involving the creation of presentations, tools, and artifacts to facilitate its company-wide expansion. This initiative resulted in 753 successful mentor-mentee connections within just 4 years of program launch.‣ I led a dynamic team of 35 professionals encompassing UX, Service Design, and Visual Design for clients such as Fiserv, PGIM, Apple, The Infatuation, and MTA.‣ My role extended beyond management, including talent acquisition, nurturing career growth, and cultivating an inclusive culture that encouraged open dialogue and a collaborative ethos for creative problem-solving.

- I collaborated with multiple professors to design and teach graduate level classes in the Design and Communication program. These classes had a strong emphasis on practical, real-life scenarios, where students learned to apply user-centered design methods to create their own final projects. The classes included lectures, project presentations, follow-up sessions, and extensive workshops. - I provided one-on-one guidance for students throughout their year-long journey in developing and presenting their graduation projects and end of year thesis. - These classes served as a notable case study due to their innovative and practical studio-based pedagogy approach for graduate assignments across the school.
