Among them, the prize won with his first ‘Buffet’ collection, presented at MBFW Madrid in 2012 and the 2012 Designer for Tomorrow award, which he won amongst more than 360 applicants.This award, given by former creative director of Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs, and the Department Store Peek & Cloppenburg, gave him the opportunity to produce the ‘Anima’ collection together with Marc Jacobs. The collection was presented at the MBFW Berlin 2013, his second foray into the Berlin catwalk.He was a finalist of the National Fashion Award 2014 and the Global Denim Award 2016, HTNK, Kingpins Show & House of Denim in Amsterdam.Considered one of the top creative talent at the moment, Leandro Cano has represented Spain in the International Woolmark Prize 2016/17 in Milan with his //Carmen//.collection, which won the Who’s On Next Vogue 2017, in which Suzy Menkes, one of the most influential personalities in the fashion arena, acted as mentor, with Alber Elbaz serving as chairman of the jury.From here, he created a new strategy. Starting from an artistic collection a year, using the same inspiration, he creates pret-a-porter for the different seasons. In 2018, he presented CORRIDA, with the inspiration about the relation between bullfighters and religion.For first time, in 2019 Leandro Cano presented his artistic collection during Paris Fashion Week. Collection were 8 bodies made in collaboration with 8 Spanish different artisans.The 2nd of March, Leandro Cano presented his last collection in Paris, at Instituto Cervantes. The inspiration of the collection was the folkloric Spanish women from Imperio Argentina till Rocio Jurado. Collection was composed by 7 dresses with the same shape. Each of these dresses was made by a different artisan technique.Parallel to his activity at the brand, in recent years, Leandro Cano has performed the costumes for the theater play 'Los Cuerpos Perdidos' by the prestigious director Carlota Ferrer, as well as the costumes for flamenco dancer Rafaela Carrasco for her last tour.Similarly, Leandro has been giving classes and conferences in the most prestigious Spanish fashion schools.
